Our Biblical Foundation

Built Upon Christ.

Rooted in Scripture. Sustained through Prayer. Formed by the Holy Spirit.

“For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.”

1 Corinthians 3:11

Jesus Christ Is the Foundation of This House

The House of Eden™ was not built upon personal philosophy, cultural trends, ambition, performance, influence, or human wisdom. Jesus Christ is the foundation of this House.

Everything within The House of Eden™ begins with Christ, is formed through Christ, and exists to point people back to Christ.

We remain anchored in Him by abiding in His Word, depending on Him through prayer, walking in step with the Holy Spirit, and growing within authentic Christian community.

The Wisdom of the House

By wisdom a house is built.

“By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures.”

Proverbs 24:3–4

We believe Christ is the wisdom of God and the only sure foundation upon which a lasting House can be built.

This House is established through surrender, obedience, Scripture, prayer, discernment, stewardship, and the grace of God.

Rooted in the Word. Devoted to Prayer.

Scripture and prayer are not secondary activities within this House. They are foundational practices of discipleship.

The Word of God

“Sanctify them by the truth; Your word is truth.”

John 17:17

Through Scripture, we come to know the Father through His Son, recognize His voice, renew our minds, discern truth, and learn how to live faithfully.

The Word of God is the sword of the Spirit. We do not merely read it for information; we study it, obey it, live it, and pray it.

Prayer

“And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.”

Ephesians 6:18

Prayer keeps us dependent upon Christ. Through prayer, we submit our plans, intercede for others, listen for God’s direction, and bring every part of our lives into agreement with His will.

Prayer is not merely preparation for the work. Prayer is part of the work.

The Great Commission

Go and make disciples.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Matthew 28:19–20

Jesus did not merely command His followers to gather crowds, build organizations, distribute information, or accumulate influence. He commanded us to make disciples.

The House of Eden™ exists in response to that mandate: to build disciples, equip leaders, and participate in the restoration of communities through Christ.

The True Vine

Apart from Him, we can do nothing.

“I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in Me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.”

John 15:5

Spiritual fruit is not produced through striving, performance, or self-reliance. It is produced by remaining in Christ.

We teach disciples to continually return to His Word, remain devoted to prayer, walk in His Spirit, and stay connected to His Body.

The Holy Spirit

Led, taught, and formed by the Spirit.

“But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.”

John 14:26

We depend on the Holy Spirit to teach, guide, convict, comfort, empower, and form the character of Christ within us.

Spiritual formation is not achieved through human effort alone. It is the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit within surrendered disciples.

The Body of Christ

We are formed in community.

“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.”

Acts 2:42

Disciples are not formed in isolation. We grow within authentic Christian community where people are known, encouraged, challenged, prayed for, held accountable, and equipped to serve.

Psalm 46

God is our refuge and strength.

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.”

Psalm 46:1

The House of Eden™ is a place of spiritual nourishment, refuge, restoration, discipleship, and formation — a place to return, be strengthened, and be sent back into the world as a living witness of Christ.

Return. Restore. Witness.

Return

“Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it.”

Jeremiah 6:16

We continually return to Christ, His Word, His presence, His Spirit, and His way.

Restore

“He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.”

Psalm 23:3

We believe Christ restores the heart, renews the mind, strengthens identity, heals what is wounded, and realigns lives with His truth.

Witness

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”

Matthew 5:16

We witness through how we live, lead, serve, steward, love, and point others back to Jesus Christ.

1 Timothy 2:1

Discipleship & Multiplication

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations...”

Matthew 28:19

Transformation is not meant to stop with one person. What Christ forms within us should become light, wisdom, service, intercession, leadership, and witness to others.

Disciples make disciples. As we become more anchored in Christ, we help others return to the true Vine, remain in Him, bear lasting fruit, and faithfully disciple someone else.

Leadership as Stewardship

“Whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant.”

Matthew 20:26

We believe leadership is not status, control, performance, position, or platform. Leadership is stewardship.

Whether a person is leading a home, ministry, team, classroom, business, organization, church, community, or generation, influence must be surrendered to God and faithfully used to serve others.

Spiritual Formation

Formation over information.

Information may increase what a person knows, but discipleship transforms who a person is becoming.

We believe formation occurs as people encounter Jesus through Scripture, respond to Him in prayer, surrender to the Holy Spirit, practice obedience, and grow within authentic Christian community.

As disciples become more like Christ, they begin living differently in their homes, workplaces, churches, schools, businesses, neighborhoods, and communities.

Transformation precedes restoration.

The House

One foundation. Four doorways. One mission.

The House of Eden™ creates Christ-centered spaces where Scripture, prayer, discipleship, refuge, formation, leadership, stewardship, restoration, and authentic Christian community can take root.

This is not a House built through striving. It is a House built upon Christ through surrender, obedience, wisdom, prayer, and the grace of God.
